Nah, I'm the wrong gender and age group.

I'm still looking for "Debbie does Dracula" though.

Romance novels and movies are aimed at women and teenage girls.

There will probably be a lot of Pixies who have or will read the novels.

In the US it is a phenomena that is nearly passing. I know in the last 2 years everyone I know (yes mostly women and girls) has read that series and LOVED it. My oldest son read them too. I bought them for him thinking he would let me read them after and instead he gave them to girls. I did watch the movie. I can definitely see why the written characters would be so compelling. I thought the acting in the movie was horriffic.

true, the movie wasn't as good as the first book...but the 2nd movie comes out here in the states in November this year. I've read the first book, listened to all 4 on cd at work and hubby bought me the first movie. I really liked the books...i have a serious thing for vamp love myself. (Laurell K Hamilton is still my fav...followed closely by Christine Feehan's Carpathian novels)

Finished the books, and into re-reading them, finished the 1st book again last night *LOL*

I've now watched the movie i think 10 times or so, and well the more i've watched it the more i've enjoyed it! I mean i quite liked it the first time around, personally i didnt find the acting bad at all. I've enjoyed also filling Bilbo in on the changes they made to the story line and plumping out the characters.

I'm hoping to pick up the movie soundtrack CD, as there are a few pieces i absolutely love, one being Bella's Lullaby. Which is meant as a piece Edward wrote for Bella, just beautiful! (not normally my type of thing either...go figure)

Cant wait to see what they come up with movie wise for the 2nd book! And REALLY looking forward to the 5th book being released!
