Crikey, here comes the essay:- - When I was young, for some reason I used to collect clocks just to keep. Having got rid of that habit for many years, it soon returned to haunt me, but this time the clocks were to be used!
- After finding one once, cat's eyes, from the road.
- Dice (After the Diceman programme)
- Conkers, during season. I have none now though.

Axe, If I am not mistaken I see a copy of A Spell for Chameleon by Piers Anthony on your bookshelf... Am I right?

Dice!
I forgot about the dice. These damn things seem to have accumulated too.
Everything from oversize carnival dice and novelty dice to souvenirs from the Sahara and calibrated, matched, serial numbered casino bones.
I think my favorite are the tiny, 5/16” (in the lid of the matched set) that were supposedly devised in Alabama by blacks, during the Jim Crow days, to foil the authorities trying to stop street corner crap games by simply swallowing them.

PF, I love your latest 3 monkey, they are 'cute' in a funny way. I was looking for you in that pic though.
When you took the dice pic, you forgot to include the fuzzy pair hanging from the rear view mirror in your car. You DO have them don't you?

Collect lapel pins. They don't take up as much room. Also old Peter Max books. Wish I still had my old notebooks from high school. We ruthlessly de-junked and donated massive amounts when we moved into our house. I really love the bright colors of the 70's Peter Max.

Oddly enough folks I have just a few collections...Madame Alexander dolls, minature shoes, cats, and fairies and any thing Irish. I also collect dragons, knives and sort of macabre dolls...I have RiffRaff, Morticia and Gomez Addams, Merlin and Morgan LeFaye, a Twisted Tatum, and several Living Dead Dolls.
Yes I know those two sets of things don't quite match up but I am an odd mix of twisted and normal too. If nothing else my house has interesting decor. :lust:

My Collections
Well, let me see...
I am probably one of the few people that still owns cassettes...and I have an odd collection of music on them that ranges from the 60/70s to just a few years back. (I think there is over 150 by now.)
We (hubby & I) have about 250-300 cds or more between us.
I collect certain Ty Beanie Babies.
I also collect Unicorns, Fairies, Dragons, Wolves, Candles, Candle Holders (just a few here), and anything else that strikes my fancy when I see it.
The funny thing is that hubby feels that he doesn't collect anything...but he has his own collection of TRF mugs, dragons, wolves, a couple of Star Trek items, and his odd assortment of swords, knives, and guns.
So, just between him and I, our house is quite full.

Well, hubby's truck has a cd player...and I can always play them on either stereo in the house. Eventually, I would love to get them (or @ least the important ones) on CD.

I collect antique tools(blacksmith & carpentry) I have a healthy respect for those that could hand plane an 8ft board flat!
My prize tool would be a 100lb anvil made in the 1880s

osuche---If you're sick,you're not alone.I had alot of knives.When I cleaned,
my house & garage out lately,I gave most of them to one of my grandsons.
I saved a few, because they are so hard to get anymore.I gave him most of
my "survival" type knives. Most of the ones that I saved are jackknives.I, also,
saved a double edged "Butterfly"knife. They are not only illegal(double edged)
but rare.I even have one of the old "Lansky" knife sharpeners. They take alot
of patience, but do an excellant job! Irish

OK.... Now I'm envious of your collection.
