Report: Sex Prank Couple Made Many Stops

By Dareh Gregorian

NEW YORK — An alleged deviant sex act in St. Patrick's Cathedral was apparently just the climax of one couple's three-hour public sex parade through the Big Apple -- an epidermis-exposing escapade that included stops at the Disney Store and FAO Schwarz.

Brian Florence and Loretta Lynn Harper's alleged on-air liaison in St. Pat's was actually their seventh stop of the day for a public sex contest on the now-canceled Opie & Anthony Show, a source said.

Immediately before their sacrilegious sex stop, the pair copulated in the "Cinderella" section of Disney's Fifth Avenue store, a favorite shopping spot for families with young kids, the source said.

The WNEW radio show's listeners were given a live blow-by-blow of all the supposed Aug. 16 trysts by comedian Paul Mercurio, who escorted the couple to each stop and called in updates on his cell phone, according to the source.

The Virginians started out by performing a sex act in a public area of an unidentified hotel, and then did similar stunts in a taxicab and ATM vestibule, the source said.

They then moved on to right outside the Carnegie Deli, where manager Sandy Levine said "they drew a crowd" of about a dozen people.

"Some people came in and told me, 'Sandy, come outside! Look what's going on,' " Levine recounted. "There was something going, all right!"

Making his way through the crowd, he said, "I could see the family jewels."

The couple was apparently just finishing up when Levine arrived, and they walked off "about five seconds later."

Levine said he had no problems with public display of affection, because several of the onlookers came into the restaurant afterward for a bite to eat.

"It was good -- it brought some people in," he said. "I wish I could have some more of that action around here."

The trio then apparently made their way to family favorites FAO Schwarz and the Disney store before ending up at St. Pat's, where a security guard allegedly caught them in flagrante delicto.

Maria Gladowski, a spokeswoman for Disney, said they had never received any complaints and their stores have tight security.

"To our knowledge, this didn't happen," she said. FAO Schwarz didn't return calls for comment.

The new details emerged after Florence, Harper and Mercurio all appeared in court yesterday on public lewdness charges stemming from the alleged cathedral copulation.

The three were regular shrinking violets, and declined to speak to reporters as they rushed out of the courthouse. Their lawyers also refused comment.

The case was adjourned until next month after prosecutor Nathan Semmel told Judge Patricia Nuñez he was ready to go to trial.

Greg "Opie" Hughes and Anthony Cumia were both fired from the highly rated nationally syndicated show because of the furor that was sparked by the stunt in St. Pat's.

The incident is still under investigation by the Federal Communications Commission, as is WNEW.
