Collegial Conversations
that turn to sex. Can you speak freely about sex at your workplace with your associates?
I am not talking sexual harrassment I mean just conversation. Like for instance I gave a workmate a piece of liquid filled gum and she thanked me for the "cum gum." I couldn't discuss that or giggle about that with just anyone at work but she's the person I can. How about you?

I can have sex converstions with co-workers, often they are men though. I think this spring from my voice. They frequently will say I am in the wrnog business after talking to the on the phone. Unfortunately, phone actress positions don't come with insurance benefits.
Then there was a gal there that I convinced Thursday's were Thong Thursday and we'd often compare thongs!
My best buddy though, a man, and we often discuss sex. Comment on how hot a woman was, like if he'd do her after 3 days in the woods without a shower or not. We have a hoot.
Now the boss? Never. But others accept my sex-spin on conversations.

Wow. You two have it easy. My workplace is soooooooooooo uptight that anything like that would be the same as punching the elevator button for the HR department.

We can and do say pretty much anything we want. However, the place I work is a small business and few employes and we are all a little wacked! LOL

where I work now I'm knowen as the plant pervert. This might be partly because shortly after I started I walk up to the plant manger and the surpervisor to ask a question and the frist thing i heard was the supervisor telling the plant manger he thought he may have talked his wife into trying anal. My quick responce was you know what she didn't tell you was she was going to put on her starp on and do you.
Now the one place I used to cook perty much anything went. I could spend a few hours telling storys about the stuff that was talked about there.

My nickname at my last job was Steph69 but it was an Internet dating site.
We joke at work but we deal with financial info all day so the sexual innuendos aren't there. We talk about relationships moreso. OMG, does this mean I'm growing up?

There is hardly a day that goes by in my office that someone doesn't tell me "Fuck You". Does that count?
No really we are a mixed group around here there are a few people here that you can talk to about anything. Others will freak out if you ask "How are you today?"
I'm glad I have at least a few people I can talk openly with

My workspace is the driver's seat of my minivan, convos with co-workers are mostlyquick exchanges on the walkie-talkie, which oddly enough, suits me fine...I may be so burnt-out with office politics & people with their feelings on their sleeves that I never want to work around people again...
On my last job, when I started there was a female supervisor in the dept, which I had experienced often enough before to be ok with...she was open enough & had played with the boys' club long enough to not be too precious to allow some semi-nasty dialogue, but then she got laid off at the end of my first year...with the presence of only 4 dirty old men, the tenor changed quite dramatically...there was no topic I can recall that was off-limits, & no language barriers at all...

Generally, we do NOT talk about sex. My office mate and I joke a bit...but the topic is off limits otherwise.

I thought we could say anything...but recently a co-worker had her yearly review and when she was about to leave the office, was told, "One last thing Ann. Could you watch your potty mouth".
Ann and her sister Cora (upholstery supervisor) are the two only females who work on the front line. They joke and banter just like all the guys do. I don't know of any of the guys who were told to "watch their potty mouth".
I ain't changing because I don't appreciate discrimination! Ann hasn't changed a thing about her behavior either. Just let them try and tell me to watch it! I've got an earful for them!

Sad to say, but there is a double standard on language. If I say "fuck" people look at me a lot more severely than if a man says it. It sucks. And it's not fair.
But unfortunately I've learned it's life.

We try hard to maintain a professional atmoshphere in the office, but it's not easy when you work with a goofball like me.
Mild profanity is ok but sex is not a topic, and that's fine with me. I don't really need to hear about it from my assistant anyway. lmfao
