I am totally against circumcision for other than for a proper medical reason. It has a purpose and by conducting proper standards of personal hygeine there is no problem at all.
I wonder if anyone advocating this procedure on newly born children have ever watched it? I have and it is not very nice and no one can tell me it is not painful.
I agree with the others, this woman is manipulative and not concerned with your friends welfare.

Don't do it!
I am not circumcised, and do not wish to be. When I was younger I didn't even know that penises didn't all have the foreskin, my father wasn't trimmed either.
The foreskin is a normal, natural part of the male sexual organs and is full of super-sensitive nerve endings. Unless your friend has phismosis or some other medical condition that necessitates circumcision I would advise him, highly, against doing it.
If his girlriend was with him because she cared about him she wouldn't ask him to part with such a pleasurable part of his anatomy. If he gets circumcised why not cut off her nipples and clitoral hood? It'd be about the same thing.

Update On The Situation :)
Okay, after forwarding all of the advice to my friend, he really took to heart what all of you guys were saying. He confronted his girlfriend about it and told her that he would never make her do anything to change and that he liked her just the way she was. She came back with a line that is soooooooooooo old.........."If you really loved me, you'd do it."
So, right after she said that, he finally realized what a bitch she was and dumped her He is not a member of Pixies, but told me to tell all of you wonderful people thank you for your concern and your advice.
Love Ya'll,
Clint

I am uncut and very happy I am. I have never had any problems
or concerns. I love to have my skin pulled back and let my purple head throb

ClintX3X3,
Great to hear that your friend took all our advice. To use emotional blackmail like that - "if you loved me you would" - is just plain low.
Hope your friend finds happiness with someone who can love him for who he is, and not for the presence of absence of a tiny piece of skin!

Recent studies indicate that circumcision may play a significant role in the prevention of the spread of the HIV virus. It was noticed that villages in Africa where the males are circumcised had much lower rates of HIV infection than similar villages where circumcision is not practiced. It is believed that the tissue on the inside of the foreskin is highly permeable to the virus. Nonetheless I would dump the bitch.

re
www.the-penis.com has alot of information on the whole ordeal.
I think its wrong to cut a child in about 98% of the cases because alot of the medical reasons can be fixed in other ways. I was cut because the forskin was too tight. this did not have to be done because skin can easily and safely be stretched. Luckily, the doctor who cut me didnt fully circumsize me which means I still have a forskin, just not a full one.

I agree with Lilith. Fuck a bunch of that- having a circumcision simply because a woman wants you to is the same as a guy telling a woman to get breast implants or some other type of invasive surgery. If he's been happy with his sexuality for all these years and is only now considering it, tell him to break up with this joker and find someone who will respect his body. I think that is a much more important issue here than whether or not a guy is cut or uncut. My boyfriend was circumcised at birth and doesn't seem to have any adverse effects from it, however what's good for someone isn't necessarily good forall- I've heard the opposite side of the debate which says that losing part of the penis impacted their sexual pleasure and they had a foreskin reattached. Meanwhile, tell him to ditch the bitch

There are only three significant bodies of opinion supporting circumcision - the Muslim faith, the Jewish faith and the AMA. I understand the motive of the last lot - money! The other two seem to believe that God made a mistake or something.....
