Damn it...I love these games but I think men are better at movie quotes than women are....I sorta remember that quote Aeros but I can't put my finger on it and hubby is out at the moment! I think it is from "Animal House" as well. Am I at least in the ball park?

Can someone figure out the secret as to why men are better at this? LOL! I just had to add SOMETHING here...I hate to be left out!

Well, your SORTA close. This movie that quote came from was out in I think 1970, and had a TV series made about it that was fairly successful.

Ok..the character that said this was only in the movie...his character wasn't in the TV show as far as I know. The character's name was Painless. That probably gave it away, but now you gotta figure out what movie he was in..lol.

OMGGGGGGG....I Knew That!!!!!.....But I swear....I was gonna say M.A.S.H.....but never had a clue of the character.....I just knew Donald Sutherland was in it and I knew he didn't say it! I didn't want to look more stupid than I already have!

Going to my neutral corner now!!!....But I am gonna be on this thread like white on rice when I do know an answer!

Mrs Lix

And P.S...Can't anyone explain why men happen to be better at movie quotes then women????? It's driving me nuts!!!!

P.P.S.........Is it the fact that you can search the net for "Movie Quotes" and then act as if you have a photographic and/or steel trap for a memory????? OMG!!!!!!!....I am so jaded!

In my case I did know where the quote came from, but had to a little digging to find the character's name (had to root through the old VHS tapes). For most of these a search engine would yield the answer but then where is the fun in that!....

As for why men know the quotes better... maybe we just tend to watch less movies and all seem to watch the same ones so the quotes are more memorable... then of course maybe not... I think I spend too much time in the movie theatre and at the rental shop!

So... "If you let me go, you may keep my friend's head for polo."

who knows it?

I know it, but can't remember the movie....if it's the one I'm thinking of, it's actualy said in a subtitle where the main character is talking to a group of natives, and hearing this the natives begin to squeeze his partners head and he thinks it's a kind of greeting...am I close?
