Only 5 hmmmm well lets see:
1.Roger Waters-(former member of Pink Floyd)-for the political views of someone that marches to his own drum.
2.Abraham Lincoln-(Dead President)A man that led a country thru its most trying time would definitely have to be on the list.
3.Michealangelo-(Artist)-A man that talented has to be included
4.Princess Dianna-(England's deceased Princess)-For the compassion she showed to all
5.A personal friend that I could share the experience of meeting them with.

I am going to stay in the current period and draw from people whom I so admire in sport.
1. Chantelle Newbery (she can bring her toddler Jet) gold medal diver @ athens
2. her husband Robert Newbery (2 bronze diving medals @ athens)
3. Ian Thorpe no intro needed
4. Jodi Henry champion swimmer 3 athens gold
5. Alice Mills champion swimmer (part of aust 4 x100 free gold medal team)
I would love to hear about what is happening in the world of swimming and diving and how they all cope with the demands and pressures.

Lilith,
I would invite,
Dorothy Parker
George Bernard Shaw
Winston Churchill
Samuel Clemens
Jane Austen
…because they each could provide an evening’s entertainment. Together, well the idea leaves me breathless!

I don't think I ever completed this list. I'd have:
Immanuel Kant (I know jseal is smiling now)
Ayn Rand
Vaclav Havel
Leonardo Da Vinci
Colin Powell (I know he doesn't fit...but he has been on my mind recently)
Now as to what I would serve for dinner.....I'll have to give that one some more thought!
And if someone cancels on me...I'd have Albert Einstein.
