I have wanted to have a reduction for a long time too. Unfortunately, hubby won't even consider it for me. He says excersize will make them perky....um....yeah right.

Excercise has absolutely no hope of making my boobs perky *LOL*
Bilbo is cool with it....after all he sees me fighting with the bloody things everyday

I'd like to see these guys telling us women significantly above a D cup that "exercise will make 'em perky" try to get through a day with about 10-15 lbs attached to the front of their chest!
I *can* flip my DD-DDD's using my back and chest muscles, and it's supposedly pretty sexy... but I don't do it often because it's more *work* than chest pressing 200 lbs! We won't mention that it takes a heck of a lot more coordination.

Would love to see Sharni's boobs back to perky :fly:
I will offer all the support that I can
But ultimately it has to be her decision

my humble advice - just be very careful of who you decide to have do the surgery.. check them out very thoroughly and make sure they know what they are doing. I know 2 people that had a reduction - one a friend who's reduction was wonderful in fact it gave her a whole new outlook on life when she went down to a C cup from a breast size that I am not even sure that there is a measurement for her breasts were so large that it made her look overweight when in fact she wasn't it was just her breasts. The other though my sister in law had an F cup and she had a reduction where they remove the nipples and also make inscisions in the side and under the breast it was a very bad job and thats putting it mildly! She is very uneven with very bad scarring but the worst part is that on one breast it doesn't look like she has a nipple at all and the other it is placed wrong... she has no sensitivity at all in her nipples (if you can even call them that now) and her breasts are not very sensitive either. Her problem though was she had a bad surgeon.. Just be careful and best of luck!

One of the problems I had when mine were bigger was...
now please don't LAUGH...and remember, I have a tendency to be a bit clumsy anyway.......
If I moved just right, my breasts would make me go weird directions. OK, hard to explain here.....
if I were moving ONE direction, and I quickly changed direction, SOMETIMES my boobs didn't get the message immediately and they'd still be going the original direction, throwing me off balance many times! LOL
I did take pictures but you can just see the scars, can't see that ridge I mentioned.
As far as scars go I was ALWAYS a Frankenstein fan anyway, so I thought it looked cool! LOL LOL

A few years ago, I worked with a girl who was a 52GG ..... but a size 12-14 (UK) everywhere else.
She had to take a few days off every month, when having her period, cos they got even bigger & heavier. Eventually she had a reduction (to 44EE) and even though they were still pretty big by most standards, she was extremely happy!
As some of the ladies have already said, it's important to check out the surgeon... K**** did, and the 1st guy she was going to go to turned out to be a real butcher..... found someone else to do it, and was pretty much healed in about 2-3 months. (Dunno if that is good or bad, but it seemed fairly quick to me!) Had the pre-op counselling too - and ALL on the National Health!!
Wishing you a more comfortable New Year..........

Not sure what the laws are in OZ but I think part of the trouble is that in US Drs. can perform operations that they are not truly qualified for. I am sure you can find a surgeon who specializes in reduction and reconstruction.

Because of back trouble for many years, a doctor had suggested that I consider a reduction. I thought about it for a while and decided against it. Personal reasons......not because I wouldn't ever have the surgery! I still to this day have plenty of back problems but I still have opted against the surgery. It's not completely out of the question but I am trying other things to relieve my back problems before I go the mile.
I am not as large as some woman who have gone before me but my stature is such that I really shouldn't be supporting this size breast. Weight loss NEVER changes my breast size. So that is one thing off my list of things to do.
I do, however, have one piece of advice for you Shar. Plastic surgeons, at times, can be very self indulgent. What I mean to say is that they are very prideful of their work and will boast their best stuff to you. What you have to do is some old fashioned "homework". If you can find several patients of any one particular surgeon to give him/her high cudos......you have a better chance than to go by his/her word alone! Check out "his/her" history. Find all the good AND the bad. No one is perfect......not even a surgeon! If he/she takes offense at your "snooping", then may I suggest that they have something of significance to hide!!!!!!
Best of luck to you in any decision you make hun! You know you'll have lots of support (no pun intended) from this group!
*hugs*

Ok now I no this is going to sound odd, I have had a breast reduction. I guess it is semi common for men to develop breast tissue, mine got kind of out of control. I had gotten almost to what would be a small A cup when my doctor decided they had quit growing and could be removed. I colloid (scar) real bad, and mine was not done cosmetically so I have to scars under each nipple. The surgy was short, I was in very little pain afterwords, though I did get a bit of an infection, so I had to go every 4 days to get fluid drained. As a man I didn't have to worry about anything like never being able to breast feed or whatever, so less risk in my case. My sister, boobs are a family trait, is getting ready to have a reduction (do to Back Problems). God luck whatever you decide.

lol once again I'm surfing the topics trying to become more involved with the forums
I have to say I'm against breast reduction, although there are defintly expections to every situation, just in general I'm against it, of coures I generally dislike breast enlargement as well, nothing wrong with it I'd say just I think it's better to just leave things the way they are
I suppose thats kinda narrowsighted though isn't it, like I said there are of coures exceptions to every situation, I guess I would just perfer my hon to be all natural,
but hey if you really feel it's necessary then go ahead, I'm not posting this to make anyone feel bad or anything , nor would I not go out with someone just because they had it done, just stateing my thoughts in as generically unoffensive way as possible lol
