Just realized I put the same site twice. Here's 2 more....

Antinausea drugs can be given as pills you swallow, as an IV, or as shots. Some drugs are available as suppositories, as capsules that melt in your mouth, or as a patch that is taped to your skin.
It is important to follow your doctor's directions in taking your antinausea medicines and to report back about how well they are working.
If you have nausea and vomiting after chemotherapy in spite of taking antinausea drugs, tell your doctor immediately. A different antinausea drug may be the answer. Or your chemotherapy drug may need to be changed.

ondansetron (ZofranŽ)
In it's non-generic form can be injected and is the best med I have ever taken for nausea. I will not have surgery without it.
There is also suppository phenerg(h)an. Then it would by-pass her upper digestive system. It works but makes you drowsy.

I rang Dad, Mum has been admitted to hospital. She's been put on an IV. And has finally been able to eat. They are going to keep her in for at least a few days to try to get it sorted.
She has her next Chemo treatment on Tuesday

And you have every right to be. Is there any way to get her in-home care?

Thanx all.
I rang Mum in hospital last night. While she is feeling better, which is a good thing for sure, i still got that bad feeling
The Doc ordered some tests and a scan yesterday, he's checking to see if the first treatment has worked on the cancer (it should have shrunk at least some), or due to Mum being soooo ill, whether something else is there.
I should hear tonight what the results are.

Update:
Mum got her blood test results....she has scepticemia and traces of ecoli in her blood....they are currently treating her for them both. Mum was due out of hospital yesterday, but that aint happening. She will be in there 'til at least Thursday. They have been treating her with antibiotics, but she is still getting temps, so something is still not right
Mum was sposed to have her next treatment on Tuesday, but the doc reckons that wont be happening, they need to investigate the infections more and get them under control.
The doc apparently hasn't mentioned anything about the scans done to see if the cancer has shrunk, dunno if that means good news or bad

Mum is still in hospital, but is doing somewhat better. She also had another bug as well, unsure what it was, but it was causing infection. They believe they may finally have them under control. She has to have a blood test tomorrow to see if they caught them all, if they have she MAY be able to go home.
Mum had her last day of the second treatment today. Her final treatment is on the 4th of March....my sister and I are looking to fly down on the 7th to be with both Mum and Dad for the final verdict (if the Chemo worked), all going well!
