WINTER
We’re in the heart of winter …
The temps are none too high,
The winds can take the breath away,
The chill can make you sigh.
The car is in the garage
A fire keeps us warm,
A blanket on the lap feels good,
Her closeness to the charm.
But while that’s nice and comforting,
And lends itself to love,
I have to admit temps in the fifties
Would suit me better then some gloves.
The loving is most wonderful
To this, I can relate,
But, a ceiling fan or AC unit
Almost compensates.
But, I guess ol’ Mother Nature,
Will do her winter thing,
And so no doubt we’ll just have to wait,
Until she brings us spring.
