Sniff Sniff
One whiff of Polo and I'm transported back to high school. So many memories flood my mind.
Is there a scent that does that to you? What is it? Where does it take you?

Rose perfume. It's my mother's chosen scent. One good whiff and I'm 6 years old hugging my mom good bye when she drops me off at my aunt's.

I'm with OF. Vanilla does it for me. Reminds me of my grandmother's kitchen on Fridays. Friday's were her "baking days" and the home made bread; carmel rolls, cakes and pies always seemed to be coming straight out of the oven just when people wanted some. It was heaven! That was up in Minnesota and being a dairy state, there'd be a plate piled high with butter ready to be spread on the hot breads.

Exclamation perfume. I had a crush on this girl when I was a teen. (Well, several girls, but this girl actually talked to me.) She borrowed my jacket for awhile and when I got it back it was Exclamation scented. We never dated because I was a shy awkward teen geek that just didn't get it. She gave me all kinds of signals that she was interested in me, save for unfurling a banner that said, "Kiss me already, ya freaking dumbass." Even then I would have probably second-guessed the meaning and blown it.
But I digress... Exclamation, yeah.
And coconut. Coconut takes me back to Vegas.

I had a thirt (Rush concert shirt from Power Windows tour) that smelled like Liz Claiborne perfume after the first kiss I shared with Mrs. WI.

Charlie perfume brings me back to being a teenager. It was my signature scent and made me feel like a real woman. What a dork I was!
Old Spice will forever remind of my dad when he got all duded up for a night out with my mama.

British Sterling reminds me of my dad.
Love's Baby Soft was my teenage smell.
Sand & Sable reminds me of an older African American woman who cared for me and I loved.

Kentucky Club Mixture was my grandfather's pipe tobacco. I don't smell it much anymore. Not sure they even make it, but I still remember its sweet scent.

Spellbound...I wear it because I like it, but I like it because it smells like a perfume my mom wore when I was a kid.
Also, there are certain adhesives that remind me of the eyepatches I had to wear when I was a kid. It always freaks me out a little; it was not a happy time.

I've been through a lot of faves since I've grown. Currently if you sniffed me you'd smell Armani Code. It reminds me of my femininity and makes me feel gilie even when I'm covered in dry erase dust and boogers.
