Up!
I just saw it and I need to say that I felt this was the best Pixar movie they have made. I'm not sure it was at all meant for kids. I sobbed most of the way through it. They did bittersweet incredibly well. If ya have not seen it, try it.
OH! And it's in 3D. I had never seen a 3D movie before. All the new Disney stuff is coming out 3D.

Unfortunately, while I love most of the Pixar movies, I can't go see them in the theater. My eyes don't do 3D. At all. So I'm stuck waiting for them on dvd.

My SO and I took his 6 year old daughter and 5 year old nephew to UP yesterday.....I found it much sadder and scarier in parts than I expected...the kids didn't seem to notice. It's kind of a wake-up call when you're holding back tears and the kids are happily slurping and chomping away on their snacks....shows you what life experience really means

My wife and I saw it and we agree with you, Lilith. We really weren't sure what to expect when we went to see it, but it turned out being a really good show. The animations I'm sure appeal to younger kids, but the story definitely had an adult theme. Glad we went.
Boy, Lilith, you have good taste!

I've hear really good things about it. The previews make it seem like standard kid-friendly fare, but Pixar has a knack for going above and beyond. Since it now has the DBG seal of approval, it is at the top of my to-see list.
