He occasionally makes the news here in Oz, mainly as a curiosity.

I've actually been to see his work in person and photographs don't convey how eerie the sculptures actually are.
I was filled with mixed feelings of awe, creepiness and uneasiness.
Terrific stuff though, I'd recommend people try to see his work.

I've seen the baby before, but not the other works. Very interesting and incredibly talented artist for sure.

I'd not heard of him either. The sculptures are amazing, beautiful and disturbing - particularly the newborn baby. I don't know why, but I found it frightening - out of scale, it didn't look human.
I loved pregnant woman too....the expression on her face is just perfect.
