I am curious about what seems to be a new sexual phenomema, men's increasing desire for (just) handjobs!
(First, this is about vacation sex, so please be mindful of that. Vacations are VERY sexually stimulating for me, and this was my first real "alone" vacation since before Katrina)

I do this (handjobs) now and again, it's a friendly, sexy act, and relatively safe for me, the woman. Maybe one or two in a month. More like 7-8 a year.

I have done this 6 or 7 times, in the last 9 days.
The first was a reasonable situation, I met someone, we danced, made out, both of us got very hot, but he admitted previous male to male sexual contact. He assured me he was tested and safe, but I have a personal rule, "not with bi men."

Or is this just a statistical abnormality?

I can't speak for anyone else (and don't give a care what motivates them) but it would make sense that the added concerns of the last two decades makes any casual encounters take on new cautions. This would fit into today's world if you are seeing a trend, but your stated abrupt recent succession does seem odd.

'Manual' pleasuring of your partner (as you put it) can be a very exciting and fulfilling thing but only when it is 'mutual', for me. Normally I find mutual voyeur/exhibition something I enjoy where there is a comfort/familiar relationship already established. Doing this to and/or for each other along with some mild restraints can be very fulfilling for both partners.

If you happen to have an oral-freak partner (rolleyes2)...... we often incorporate this and toys to make for a mutually rewarding time but mutual masturbation and a quick hand-job are two different things in my book.

I have heard it theorised that we live in a masturbatory culture these days.
