Transitions — Peter Boyle
Peter Boyle, well known as the crusty old dad in “Everybody Loves Raymond”, has died in a New York hospital on Tuesday. He was 71 years old.
He acted in a LOT of other TV, “NYPD Blue”, etc. and also had roles in Santa Claus 1, 2 & 3. I also remember him with George C. Scott in “Hardcore”.
R.I.P. sir.

I'll never forget him in Young Frankenstein.
And I didn't know that John Lennon was the best man at his wedding.
RIP Mr. Boyle, and thank you.

Puttin on the Ritz is one of those scenes that makes me laugh every time I see it. Hell I laugh sometimes just thinking about it.
He was also in one of the best X Files episodes ever, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose. Easily in the top five of all X Files episodes.

He also played Joe MacCarthy in Tailgunner Joe. I could never hear Puttin on the Ritz in quite the same way afer Young Frankenstein. R.I.P Peter Boyle.
