Work for Hire
Nope...not a sex thread!
I was wondering if any of you have experience with consulting. Have you ever hired yourself out as a professional consultant?
If yes, what materials did you use to "convince" someone to give you a project? How did you find the right price to charge?
Anything you wished you'd known before you started to consult? Educate me, please!
Some background: My company is in financial crisis and I am trying to find a way to get myself 50% off payroll for the next 6-12 months. I think consulting will allow me to earn the money I need while biding time until my company is profitable again. I'm a great sales/marketing/business development guru and I figure that some small company would love to have my skills. I just need to go through the process of "hanging out my shingle."
Thanks for the advice and help!
