I'm happy to report that hubby and I are now in counseling and things are much better. The other night we went out on a date night. We went to dinner and then as a surprise he took me to a motel for a short stay.

The sex was phenomenal. We plan on doing this every couple of weeks, I'm hoping it will kinda' jumpstart our relationship and help us get the old intimacy
back. It certainly couldn't hurt.

Thanks to all of you who responded so sympathetically. I think we are on the road back !!!

That's good news! I missed out on the discussion during the first go around...

something that my brother did with his ex that seemed like a nice way of keeping things vibrant was to go celebrate a monthly anniversary. They got married on, well the number date isn't important, but say, the 10th. The 10th of every month was the evening that they went out on an 'anniversary date'. Maybe not a surprise hotel check in but it was a night just for them to do something.
