My wife has assured me that post-partum symptoms can be a real nightmare...that Mrs Yates went over the edge & acted on her psychosis is a nightmare she'll have to live with for the rest of her life...there is a broad misconception that being institutionalized is somehow "getting away with murder," but that is a lie...

I guess the short answer is there was no justice before when she was convicted, & there is no justice for anyone now, no can there ever be...

Yates did something horrible, and I'd be surprized to see her out of the funny farm quickly. I suspect the media coverage alone is a cautionary tale for both doctors and other moms who've dreamed about drowning their young.

Did she act crazy? Yes, certainly.
