Baby's Sex
What does everyone think about learning the sex of a baby before it's born?
The g/f and I aren't sure on whether or not to find out or keep it as a surprise. On one side it makes things easy for anyone buying anything for the child on the other it just adds more to the B-day(or is it D-day?).
Thanks for your input in advance

I Love Surprises
When I have kids, I don't wanna know the gender until it's born.

I found out both times. The first because we were poor, Mr. Lil was in the millitary and we needed to buy the stuff the baby would need. The second because we were poor, only had boy stuff and needed to know what else we needed. Plus the ultrsounds for baby 2 helped baby 1 feel connected to the process of gaining a sibling and he was adamant he did not want a girl.

We found out as soon as we could when I was pregnant. There are so many millions of things to purchase why not have the "right" things?
Believe me, whether you know what the sex is or not when it comes out, you'll be surprised. THere will be a baby you created and lots of surprises after that.
Congratulations to you

when I had my son, we found out the sex before. We wanted to know so we could prepare ...........ourselves, not the room.
My ex had already had 2 girls, and we wanted to know if it was going to be another.

We knew the 2nd one would be a boy, but not so much by choice...weekly ultrasounds were required because my wife ALWAYS had a high-risk pregnancy, & as it turned out, he was footling breech & had to be delivered via c-section...but it's true that just because you know the gender before birth, doesn't mean there's no surprises left

I didn't want to know before my kids were born, i wanted to hear the announcement of "You have a son/daughter" Also seeing if my woman's intuition was right on what i was having. I was right with both I had baby boy dreams with my son, and a dream that solidified my girl's name with my daughter.
the draw back of not knowing is, well not knowing. My kids were mostly dressed in green, yellow and purple for the first month or so. I just kept thinking that they really didn't care because they were more worried about the next nap, diaper change, and getting a breast in their mouths.
When Mayhem and i get preggers, i want to wait again, but if he really wants to know before, i am not fussed.
Congratulations!

I was also adamant that I didn't want a girl.I now have two of them & no
sons. With our 2cd,I walked into the delivery room & my wife said-I'm sorry,
it's another girl.I said-Who cares?It's ours & you're BOTH healthy.They're
both in their mid thirties now & I couldn't be happier!I think that every man,
should have at least ONE daughter. When you come home, after a shitty day,
& you wonder-What am I doing this for?Your daughters come up to you &
say-I love you daddy & you know why! Irish
P.S.It takes a man,to make a boy,but it takes a better one to shoot the BALLS of of him!
