I did it one year because someone volunteered me to do it....so it just made more pressure for me during the holiday season. I'd rather not be made to do something. I loveeee to buy for the children tho that need things. Last year I collected enough money and bought presents for the local girls home (don't have a boy home) and it felt great when I delivered them to see their faces.

I've done it past years at work with co-workers. We had a party and got our "Secret Santa" gift.
One year my Girl Scout Troop 'adopted' a family in need. We bought and wrapped gifts for everyone in the family. And we supplied everything for Christmas dinner (plus a box of assorted other food).

I do it all the time. There's always a store that has one of those trees that you can buy a gift for someone. I do it every year.

oh have i!
I foolishly went to a sex shop looking for something fun to liven it up (such as chocholate penis's etc)... but after the guys initial assumption that i looked like "the sort of guy who would want the video isle" it just all went downhill. His colourful discription of 12 ways you cold use "lube" further confirmed that he had not got the full idea behind a secret santa. Who he thought I would fit the mains powered vibrator into my budet i have no idea... even though it reduced in price four times as i walked out the door.
