Pixies Civil Defense- June 14
Take a deep breath and hold tight. I know we have Pixies in this LARGE area.

The 7.0-magnitude quake struck at about 7:50 p.m. about 90 miles west southwest of the coastal community of Crescent City, according to the U.S. Geological Survey Web site.
A tsunami warning is in effect from the California-Mexico border all the way north to Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
Residents were being evacuated from low-lying areas of Crescent City, KCBS radio reported.

I'm in San Clemente ... about half way between LA and San Diego .... We had "just in case" Tsunami warnings going on this evening .... last update it was lasting til 10:30 p.m. .... I just heard that they've completely lifted that warning now.  that's a relief since I'm only about 5 blocks (maximum) from the beach. |

I am soooooo glad they called it off. My mom is somewhere on a beach in Cali. vacationing and I can't get ahold of her.
