Hello...and Welcum to Pixies eaglemark62!

I'm not sure I can help, but I want to make sure that your question is understood in case someone else can.

When you say this is a "dry cum"...do you mean nothing at all oozes out? Or...do you mean that you don't "shoot" cum out and away from your body in a burst or bursts?

This should be clarified...because I'm thinking two things here for each scenario.

If nothing at all...and I mean NOTHING...oozes from your penis at the moment of orgasm, and hasn't for approximately 3 months now, I am sure most here would say that you NEED to seek medical advice. I don't think it's something life threatening, but I do feel that at your age a good once over by a medical professional is definitely in order. The doctor can direct you to any specialist[s] necessary to assess your concerns and name your condition and help you on your way to rectifying the problem.

If, however, you are still oozing cum but it is just not "shooting out of you, but instead it's just a trickle...I'd say that you may need a longer break between orgasms. You don't have to answer here if you don't want...but ask yourself, have you been having more sex and masturbating a lot more in the past 3 months? If the answer is yes...the duration between orgasms might slow the flow. If the answer is no (nothing is different but this condition) then I say again, seek medical attention.

I hope others can add better insight...but I just want to make it clear so the advice given isn't misguided.

Good luck hun...and please keep us informed!

Hope to see you around the boards!

If you could ejaculate before and now you can't you should probably talk to your doctor.

You didn't say how old you are, or if you have had ejaculate in the past. Ejaculation and orgasm are two seperate physiological functions that just happen to take place at the same time in men. It is possible to orgasm and not ejaculate, and it is possible to ejaculate and not orgasm.

Things to keep in mind to tell your doctor if and when you go see him, were you injured in some way before this happened or did you start on some kind of medication.

Go see a doctor.

Google "dry orgasm" There are some sites that discuss this.

Don't know much about the diabetic and orgasms...but you do realize that you HAVE to talk with a doc about this, right? You cannot successfully diagnose yourself. You may be right...no harm, no foul...or you may be so way off base that if attention isn't sought it could damage you for life (<---major extreme case scenario there).

Please tell us you are going to make an appointment this week! There is no need to delay it...unless the planet is scheduled for self destruction this Thursday or something like that.

So...go on...make the appointment and then please let us know that you did make it...and that you kept the appointment...and that the doc said, "____ ____ _____ _____" (fill in the blanks)...so we can rest assured along with you!

I don't know much about it either but maybe you're not producing sperm anymore?
You are old enough to be going thru the "change". I'm 44 and went thru it 2 years ago. Yes it happens to men just as it happens to women. It also could be your meds. or dehydration. You do need to tell your doctor about it.

CGT

Production of sperm and ejaculate are separate functions.

Vasectomies don't shut off the come, just the Tadpoles.

Eaglemark62, you need to see a quack.

This sounds like some sort of blockage or ruptured tube.

I hadn't even thought about the fact that it could be a prostate problem, untill I read the last two responses then it came to me. Men don't go through a menapause since our sperm are produced as needed where as a woman is born with all the eggs in her ovaries she will always have.

oh really. Well I learned somethin new today. I understood that the motility went down as you get older and stopped producing sperm.
Thanks for setting me straight guys.

CGT, male menopause is not a myth, it's just different from the female variety, as it usually does not involve a total shutdown...more like a tapering off of sperm production, & of course some loss of erectile function...septegenerions fathering children seems to prove not all sperm production is lost with age, & in any event sperm is but a small percentage of spoo...
eaglemark, I've been down the diabetic road myself, & suffered some related sexual dysfunction with it, but not dry orgasms...defininately your doc needs to refer you to a good plumber (urologist) ASAP, sounds like something amiss in the prostate area...a warning tho, they'll prob want you to have a Cystoscopy, (you don't want that, but it may be the only option)...just curious, what meds are you taking for the diabetes? I was on avandia & avaryl till weight loss brought my blood sugar back under control...

First thing I'd do is check the packets of all the meds you're taking for details of side effects.

This is a delicate question, but has the doctor prescribed any anti-depressants for helping you to deal with your recent loss? If so, that's the first med packet I'd check, since I happen to know that anti-depressants can affect both male and female orgasm in strange ways.

If none of your meds carry warnings about side effects such as this, I'd go to your doctor. A friend of mine has a problem whereby the ejaculate he produces drains, harmlessly into his bladder, rather than coming out of his urethra, so it maybe something like that, so don't panic that it's something serious.

You sound like you've been through a whole lot recently so good luck with it all sweetie.

The nurse gets to be nurse-like!!!!

Hi sweetie!!!
Just in case you didn't know, I am a Nurse (Registered), and certified as as Sex Education and Women's Health (contraception) Educator. (whew!) As I am employed by a Catholic Organization -owned Clinic, I almost never get to practice any of this.
So... (wiggling in her chair with glee) thanks to you I get to offer some free advice at last.
(I know a lot of this has been covered above, but please let me put my penny in)
You likely have what is called "retrograde ejaculation", your semen is going up into your bladder rather than out. This can be caused by a lot of different things, some are serious. While a prostate disorder is certainly one cause, I didn't see where you mentioned any trouble urinating, like getting up a lot at night to pee, (nocturia) or unable to empty your bladder fully, or having a "weak stream" and dribbling, or even a little incontinence. All of these are known to come with prostate disease. Of course, even if you don't have any of these symptoms, it might still be a prostate problem.
The biggest possibility is your diabetes. Keeping it controlled is so important. High blood sugars can causes all kinds of problems, including this.
The next possiblity is a medicine, of course. Some meds are famous for causing this problem, like some antidepressants, and some hypertension meds, like Cardura. (doxyzosin) It is used for blood pressure and to treat swollen prostates, and can cause retrograde ejaculation because of its effect on the prostate.

There are SIMPLE, painless (more or less) exams and tests your doctor can do the find out what is going on, so PLEASE, PLEASE go see him or her real soon, love!!!!

Kisses,
Wanda R.N.
