Slumber Parties!!!
On Tuesday, our daughter is turning 13. I know you may all pray for us now, thank you.
Anyway tonight we are having a slumber party. The living room has 5 girls in it so far (more might still be coming) Sleeping bags, loud music, tons of food and way to much giggling is going on right now.
I had one when I turned 13 and it is one of my best memories of my childhood. So who else remembers how great it was having all your girlfriends together in their jammies waiting for that first one to go to sleep so they get a face full of whipped cream in it. (Shaving cream is gross)
Oh yeah any of you boys ever crash a slumber party. My 14 year old nephew threatened to scare them during the middle of the night.

We have had our share of sleep overs here. I did one that had about 12 boys all with the theme of Captain Underpants. It was crazy fun.
I loved slumber parties. Too bad the boys never followed through

I hope you got them a good scary movie to watch (with the lights out) so they can scream at each other even when they are not frightened.
(Slumber Party Rule No. 1- No wet food. All snacks have to vacuumable! (unless you have a dog )

I remember sleepovers too, they were a blast......I remember one that was particularly interesting lol...
I invited three of my best friends over to stay after my halloween party when I was 12, and we all got along fine till two of the girls started bickering over who said this and that and what not...Before I know it, they're in the den cat fighting, really going at it. I tried to break them up and got a black eye (LOL I would have loved to have seen my preppy little 12 yearold reaction from another point of view) so I backed off and was saying "oh god, don't get blood on the carpet" because my parents had recently put white carpeting down. My mom woke up all pissed off and drove everyone home...Hope yours doesn't end that way Tess!

Most of my friends were guys, so I only had one sleepover that I remember.
Speaking of which...I hear that co-ed sleepovers (with parental supervision) are now kosher. What do all of you think? Would you let your kid have a co-ed sleepover?

I survived the night!
My goodness 8 girls can make a lot of noise and eat alot of food.
Yes PF we had alot of scary movies and they told ghost stories. It seems during the telling of a ghost story the kitchen light came on all by itself. The girls screamed and ran to me thinking we had a poltergeist.
There was a fight and one girl went storming home at 2am. She lives 2 doors down so we could watch her go.
The dog was very pleased with what got dropped on the floor and we did have two soda's spilled but I have a carpet cleaner so no biggie.
Now it's 10:15 and two are awake. I want my house back now! What a mess But my girl had a wonderful time so that is all that matters to me.
Ohhhhh no I would not allow boys to join in. These girls busted a white balloon and there was much talk of how it looked like a condom.

Oh...sounds like fun TT!
I remember the slumber parties I went to. Sometimes we'd throw a couple blankets over the clothesline (outside) and a few more for a floor and we'd "sleep" out in the yard. Made it much easier for the boys to crash the party...lol! Once, several of my friends and I were down the shore. After a night on the boardwalk...and meeting some boys...we went back to our motel. All the girls had to share a room with my best friend's aunt. She was a drinker and was asleep when we got there. We sneaked a few boys in and played spin the bottle. There was a noise at the door and we realized the other adults were coming home and we made the boys leave. All but one made it out the window, and that poor guy had to sleep under the dusty bed, on the floor, all night long. In the morning, before the adults awoke, we got him out of there...lmfao!
At other parties...we played "pass-out". Someone holds you from the back, around your waist, as you breath in and out real fast. Then, as you take a deep breath, the person holding you squeezes tight and lifts your feet off the floor. You hold your breath and she squeezes and squeezes till you can't take anymore. Most times you'll pass out for a few seconds. At the very least, you'll see stars. Why did we think that was fun? Hmmmmmm...we were weird!
I don't pray TT...but I will send you my best wishes for the next few years, poor thang! LOL!

LOL!!! I do have the recipe to get shaving cream, toothpaste (yes I typed toothpaste) and that fake play makup out of light colored carpets if anyone needs it!!!
Have had boy slumber parties and girl slumber parties...
Boys - slept outside in the big tent and let the yellow lab sleep in the tent with them. The good thing about this was he would "protect" them. The bad thing about that was no one wanted to unzip the tent and let him out in the morning and he ended up peeing on sleeping bags, pillows and a couple of boys.. LMAO!!!
Girls - scary movies, lots & lots of snacks (they ate more than the boys did), dress-up stuff and those disposable cameras....that was fun. Cobalt said he didn't realize that girls could scream in octaves that would break crystal though.. lol!!! They were the ones with the toothpaste, shaving cream and fake makeup on my cream colored carpet OH.. and I am totally sick of the Backstreet Boys!
NO COED sleepovers here!
