Have We Talked About This?

Anyone been? I just got back and am curious what anyone else thought about it.

Lilith, I went Friday night....not real sure what I think to be honest. I know what all the reviews say and I know how it's doing in our theaters (*L* have the inside scoop since I'm office manager for a company that owns movie theaters) but I don't think it was as good as everyone made it out to be.

It was good...but I could've done without some of the more..."direct" violence.

I guess if your turn on is action special effects, it was quite good. But overall, I wasn't real impressed. My sons now thought it was terrific. I'm probably just getting old.

Tell me about it...I was not at all happy having my little guy there for the hospital scene. guess that's my own fault though for not having done my research.

The hospital, the glass...I couldn't even watch it myself and buried my face in kleclere's shoulder. Or maybe I'm just a wimp. Either way, it was way too graphic in my opinion in parts.

I liked it... seemed to go along at a decent pace and even, maybe, had more of a story to it than the standard action/gratuitous violence flick... so I give it a two thumbs up. I liked it a lot more than the first one. Now that I have seen this one I might add the pair to my DVD collection if the price was right (i.e. on sale cheap in a few years).

My girlfriend said it was more of a "chick flick" than the first cause they delve more into the hows and whys.

Lilith, if you, or anyone else, ever wants additional info on a movie...let me know, I have plenty of websites that are great as well as review info normally before it's out and about.

No I'm the same way! As soon as I saw that chainsaw, I clamped my eyes shut and didn't open them until I was told it was ok. Reminds me of the chainsaw scene at the beginning of scarface. *shudders*
I *did* like it but I still kept waiting for it to end. It seemed a bit drawn out?

I just went and saw it yesterday and really liked it. I too was a bit surprised though with a couple of the scenes considering it was pretty obvious that parents would be taking their kids to the movie.
For me though, I thought it was great. I mean we are talking about a movie based upon a comic book. The effects should be sort of crude IMO. All I could think while watching most of it though was, "Man, Peter Parker is having just one heck of a bad day!"

Chainsaw? There are chainsaws????? I still haven't seen it yet!!!! I DID see King Arthur yesterday tho, I loved that one. It was completely different from any other Aurthurian legend based movie I've seen.

I enjoyed it more then the first one. As I get older (25 yeah I know) I find that I enjoy movies that have more character depth and development. It is also better if something blows up in said movie. I came away from this movie feeling really good, sounds strange but that is how I felt walking out of the theater at 2:30am (yes I went to the Tuesday Midnight showing).
