Deep Fried Pickle Recipe

DEEP FRIED PICKLE

RECIPE

Re: Beer battered/deep fried pickle

Dill pickle spears
Beer batter dip mix (found at market in bread crumb section)
spice to taste (salt, pepper, all purpose seasoning)
Beer (your fave)
deep fryer
lite oil or whatever is best for your health! LOL!

dip pickles in beer then in beer batter mix (follow directions on package)...fry till golden brown....let cool (as they are so very hot for a while)

enjoy!

My thanks to the Pixie that gave me the recipe!

Thanks DB.
Next time I go shopping I'll look for the 'beer batter mix'. I don't remember seeing anything like that.

I'll let ya know what I think of them. I'm thinking of other things that would be good in this batter: hot peppers, any kind of veggie, mmmmmmm.. Better go shopping today I'm beginning to think.

TY

Teddy Bear ... let me know about your "experiments." I'm always open for new ideas!

On the beer batter mix ... my wife found a mix called "Fry Krisp all natural Batter Mix" in the bread crumb section and on the side label it has a recipe for beer batter! It came in a 5 pound bag. My son, that did the cooking, has cooked at two places locally and they use the same mix in their "beer batter." Hope all goes well for you.

Hmmm...being a connoisseur of food, I have learned to try and never say "ewww" unless I have tried it first.

sounds interesting!

No problem. Do things in moderation. No more than three jars at a time. Actually, just 3 or 4 spears.

Your guessing at the ingredients ... if it wasn't right ... was sure good! Thanks, Lixy. You've just added a new favorite dish.

BTW, told my granddaughter (who also loves dill pickles) about the deep fried ones and she's anxious to try them.

Heck this practically makes us cousins or sumptin'.
