Sore Back???
I must have slept wrong last night. When I got up this morning my back was sore, then went and helped a friend do body work on a truck...that did NOT help my back. Now it's killing me. I've taken back pills and have taken a hot shower...any suggestions??

Ouch!!! I used to get that! Do you have a basketball??? Take a towel and wet it, ring it out damp...stick it in a gallon ziploc, put in microwave til it is warm (becareful not to burn yourself) put the basketball on your bed...a soccer ball would be better actually, and lay the ziploc over the ball. Lie with your ouchy spots on the ball and concentrate on letting your neck, head lower back and arms relax. Repeat as often as necessary. Or drive to Biloxi and I will fixxx you Feel better ((hugs))

Now I'd never disagree with our lovely gracious moderatrix. I do however have a bit of a different take on the back thing. If my back starts to acting up I grab a phone and call my chiro. I know, I know some folks think they're quacks but so help me mine has helped me through some serious discomforts. I started going several years ago when a 4-wheeler had beaten my lower back to the point of not being able to rest. In just a few visits he'd gotten me sleeping like a baby again. Just a suggestion in case soccer doesn't help.

Therma care heat wraps work so much better then a heating pad. When I had gallbladder attacks it would feel like someone was stabbing me between my shoulders and these helped so much.

I like having my wife massage my back. Usually helps. Sometimes in more ways than one.

Mr. Jack Daniels is my favorite back medicine!
Lie on a hard floor, and do what you need to relax. In a few days, it should be better. The Chiro or an experienced Massage Therapist should be able to help, too.
