One of those moods..
Well, lately I've been in one of those "need to get drunk and feel sorry for myself moods." I haven't given into it yet, I'm sure working 7 days a week has something to do with it, but to make up for it..I'm listening to some really sad country music...just thought I'd share one with ya
What I Left Behind
More road up ahead, my radio's still broken
The spinnin' of the wheels and the fencelines lead my way
Your picture on the dash and the need to fly so high
Are the only two things that I can't hold today.
I left you way down south, cryin' at the river's mouth
I got a show up north so I guess it's just as well.
You're still the one for me, but I'm the man I'll always be,
And I won't be the one who takes you straight to hell.
Cause I'm out here on my own, drinkin' all alone
Thinkin' 'bout things, and what I left behind.
And I need you more right now, to give me redemption somehow
Rollin' north up that red river line.
So don't you cry for me, cause I can taste what you can't see,
But always know you got a place in my heart.
I got an angel ridin' shotgut, got the devil in the back
and the war they wage is gonna tear me apart
So as I'm talkin to ya now, the sun is goin down
I dont' know where I am but God it makes me smile
I need just one more word, comin' from your sweet lips
I swear I'll call ya back in a little while
Cause I'm out here on my own, too tired and halfway stoned
Thinkin' bout things, and what I left behind
And I need you more right now, to give me redemption somehow
Rollin north, up that red river line.

Actually, lately, I've found country music to be a great mood enhancer - Toby Keith and Willie Nelson singing together will ALWAYS put me in a good mood.
Chin up, Eros. Are you getting a day off soon?

Here's another....
The Road I'm On
She said life's a lot to think about sometimes
When you're living between the lines
And all the stars they sparkle and shine everyday
He said life's so hard to move in sometimes
When it feels like I'm towin' the line
And no one even cares to ask me why I feel this way
I know you feel helpless now and I know you feel alone
That's the same road, the same road I am on
He said life's a lot to think about sometimes
When you keep it all between the lines
Of everything I want and I want to find, one of these days
What you thought was real in life somehow steered you wrong
Now you just keep drivin' tryin' to find out where you belong
I know you feel helpless now and I know you feel alone
That's the same road, that same road that I am on
What you thought was real in life somehow steered you wrong
Now you just keep drivin' tryin' to find out where you belong
I know you feel helpless now and I know you feel alone
That's the same road, that same road that I am on

Makes me think of that ol' country song ... "I've Got Tears in My Ears from Lying on My Back, Crying Over You."
Can you believe I had to act this one out in a game of charades? Okay, eighth word, two sylables, second sylable. Ooops ... time's up.
