Leave that up to the "professional" tornado chasers and the meterologists

The "professional" idiots, as opposed to those who live for the thrill of the chase? lol

Oh I hate tornados...
I grew up in southern california... moved here to MO almost 10 years ago.. and I can honestly say that I would rather have an earthquake strike than to see a tornado appear. I haven't seen one yet (Thank GOD) but I know that when I do.. it won't be pretty... someone will have to slap me out of my panic state.
I look at it this way... I would rather experience another earthquake (where you either get up and dust yourself off, or you don't get up at all) than to see a tornado coming and just have enough time to panic...

its really not that bad, and if you follow the advice of your weatherman you have excellent chances of survival, unless we are talking about an F4 or F5 like the one that hit oklahoma on may 3rd

We are at the other end of Tornado Alley here. I’m so happy it waited until the snow was gone. I’ve been around enough season to have seen a few.
AirHog is right though. It’s not too bad when you consider that one of our worst, right in town, moved through 1,000,000 people and only 5 died……….? (1/2 of 1/1000 of a percent, 1 in 200,000) The thing is it’s so fluid. Very deadly, but very selective. Like being a lady bug when they “shoot” a needle through the hay stack. You just don’t know where, but your odds are good.
Our Jenna sounds smart to me . We know where the cracks are and you were sharp enough to not live right over it.
The thought of hurricanes frightens me. That’s like being the lady bug and watching the combine coming at you.
(Life’s a gamble. Just have to find the best odds and stay with your bet.)

I'll never forget seeing the tornado we had here 5 years ago, no funnel but it was a triple vortex, passed a mile or 2 north of my workplace just as I was driving in for 2nd shift...wasn't sure what it was I was seeing, but I knew that clouds moving in opposite directions wasn't normal LOL...passed right thru the heart of downtown & thru several residential neighborhoods, doing many $$$$$$$ of damage but only 1 death, a young man crushed by a falling tree in Centennial Park...gave us all stories to share for a while...
As a footnote, the next month an F1 passed near my house & toppled a really old linden tree in my back yard...minor damage to a mini-barn, we never heard it go down, didn't realize until we noticed the bright morning light coming in the kitchen window...

Tornados are like some women, you know, Scotz.
It starts as a little suck and ends up taking the house.

LMAO @ OF...
I have seen a few here in IL over the years. When I was 10 we were camping down at my Grandparents and it went through a house right across the field from us. It was just me and my sis in the camper and like stupid idiots we just watched it go by and never took cover or anything.

It's always earthquake season here in sunny southern California!
I grew up in Indiana, and saw a few tornados in my day...much scarier.
