One Special Person
Do you believe that there is one true love for you somewhere out there in the universe?

I believe we all have a special person somewhere, we may never meet that person, but, when we do i think you know it almost instantly. it may be something about thier persona something they say, a certain way they do something, just a suttle little something that will click something in your mind and you just know it. But finding that person is the biggest challenge, but when you do i sincerly believe you/I/everyone will know when they meet that certain someone.

I agree, Lilith. I believe it's entirely possible to love more than one person, although it's not always easy.

I can attest from personal experience, it IS possible to love more than one person. And it's definitely NOT easy, but most certainly well worth it!!

Call me old-fashioned or nieve(sp?).I have had sexual relations with
more than my share of women but I have always believed that
everyone has ONE person in the world, and that you are also meant just for them.Maybe I'm a hopeless romantic.I believe that
you can be friends with many but destiny puts you two together!

I think there might be more than one. Back in the old days, most people were restricted to one area. Now, with planes, trains and automobiles, not to mention the 'net, we meet sooooooo many people that you're horizons are expanded in many ways.

Yes, and I am married to him. We both knew the night we met that we were meant to be together. We were so familiar to each other, it was like we had known each other all of our lives.

I would have to say yes, but I also think that many people may have that possibility to be that special someone. I don't believe there is ONLY one person out there for you, as in this one "perfect" being who just fits with you...don't get me wrong, I am a hopless romantic and tragic comic all rolled up into one, but for me to think that there is only ONE person out there for me...that is quite depressing
I would rather think that, there are people who could be the one for me, they may not have a perfect body, they may not appreciate my interests in animation and computer games, they may not like hockey, ect...but they may make me feel special every single day, they may love me for who I am, taking the good with the bad...and if we both think we could spend the rest of our lives together...who is to say they are not the one? But then again, maybe that is some of your definitions for the one...and you would say that "AHA!" you have just met the one...ok I am begining to ramble and I am getting philosophical so I will be quiet and get my lazy ass down to the lab and do some work lol!

I tend to believe the are several possible mates for any one person. The trick is for that person to grow in the same direction once you've gotten together. Sounds simple huh? At 45 I'm wondering if I'm growing in circles or just in a direction of solitude. I love whole heartedly, I strive to be understanding and open to their needs and wants, but so far.... no cupie dolls stayed. I still hold hope to one day find passions and explosive romance that alienates doubt that there could be another.... but then I've always been a dreamer.

I am in awe of the men of Pixies and their answers here.....and the "topsy-turvy answers from the women! Seems we have indeed "Come a Long Way Baby"!
*spanks scotz!* LOL!
I believe to each his own.......and that it would be magically wonderful if you could find the one and only love of your life. I believe some have actually done just that........but I think that is fewer than greater in the population!
I believe that deep down I could love more than one person. I think these loves would differ as night and day too! Each might fulfill a different purpose.........but it would be love none the less! As I've said before......I never say never!

I used to always think so... now I know so.
I think that because there's no such thing as a perfect person, "God" made perfect matches for imperfect people.
Does this make sense?
