Have any of you been to a swing club? What was your experience and opinion on it?

I have been to several, mostly here in New Orleans, but also in Texas, in Austin and Houston. I have been to regular swing clubs, (that is "couples clubs"), and two BDSM clubs here in NO. The couples clubs were all off-premesis, that is, there was suppose to be no sex at the club, you met, and then went elsewhere to have sex...
The reality was a little different in some of the clubs. Sometimes there is a LOT of quiet sex, especially in the darker corners. And the women's restrooms can be very wild! The dancing, especially with other women, is VERY erotic, lots of touching and carressing, mouthing of breasts, kissing.... the dancing late at night is usually in lingerie or even just g-strings.
Sometimes there is discrete, and sometimes not so discrete oral sex, touching, and on a few occasions intercourse astride a chair.
The BDSM clubs are VERY different, members only, and by invitation only. There is a LOT of open sex of all kinds in the BDSM clubs, but the "scenes" are the main attraction.
Some couples clubs are poorly decorated, some are really nice with nice tables and a good dance floor. None serve liquor, you have to bring your own.
Different clubs attract different types. One club attracts more young, thin people, another attracts older, more "mature" couples.
Most do not allow single men, or only on special nights.
I have seen couples unhappy that they go to a club, and dance, but no one tries to pick them up. This is just the way it is.
Some of these places are very cliquish.
With only two exceptions I have always been as part of a FF couple, and that always attracts a lot of attention. Just be prepared to go with your date, dance, chat, and go home without having sex with another couple. As I said, they can be very cliquish, and you might have to go a few times to become part of the group.

This thread has sparked an interest for me . . . I'm going to go to lavalife.com and e-mail my boyfriend (he's fast asleep right now) and I'll see if I can spark his interest in visiting a swingers club . . . I'll keep you posted!
