without a doubt, there most definitely is. I am lucky enough to only be 18 years old and have already found her. Her name is Laura Stephens, she is my wife, and I love her with all of my heart and soul. Always and forever. I look forward to being that 80 year old couple that have been together for the last 62 years.
The answer to all problems lies within the heart, for if you love someone as much as they love you then there is no problem to big or small

I believe "you have to kiss a lot of frogs before u meet your prince" Had only been in "love" once before-----------been in "lust" and in "like" lots of times! The guy I am with just now means the world to me and I love him dearly.
My special people are my kids---------unconditional love is wonderful!

Yes, I think there IS a "special" someone for everybody.
I've been "in love" twice before... with my ex-wife (which was why she WAS my wife!!) and with a girl I met @ work a number of years ago. Both of these were virtually "instant", but the feeling was no less strong for that.
Now, though, I'm with my Angel..... my feelings for her have grown (relatively) slowly compared to the others, but seem to me to be much MUCH stronger because of it.... we've only been together for 5˝ months, but it feels like I've known her all my life!
I believe I know what REAL love feels like for the first time in my life... and I'm a nicer person because of it!!
Thanks 'Angel... Love you! xx

I don't doubt there can be more than one person to love in life...but it's sometimes hard to determine between "lust" and "love"....I'm still figuring out the real difference in those two...

Thru lifes experiences,I have come to realise that everyone,
has their faults. The trick is whether anothers good side out-
weighs their bad side!In other words, are the good points,
worth overlooking the points that you don't like!No-one is
perfect(except me) Irish
P.S.There's no conciet in my family.I have it all!

It's got to be the athiest in me. I think there are lots of possibles out there for everyone. It's down to us, individually, to do the leg work, FIND the people we're compatible with, throw back the ones that don't or can't work, and put some effort into maintaining relationships with the ones that do.
Personally, I find comfort in the thought. It means that we're not doomed to lonliness for making an all to human mistake. How horrifying to think that if you don't take the one chance, or move to the right town, you won't meet the ONE person in 6 billion who is perfect for you? Cause, with no puppeteer pulling the strings in my world, there's no guarantee I'd even get one chance at meeting them, let alone managing to do it when I don't have spinach in my teeth, or a rotten mood on.
It also means I don't feel like I can be complacent about the wonderful man I have found. He wasn't meant for me, he wasn't a gift from on high. He's a person with wants and needs, strengths and flaws. We met by random chance and great good luck. And what we have together is so sweet and strong and supportive because we chose each other, and we choose to make it so....not because we couldn't help it.
What, you expected my ramblings to make sense?

TinkerBell69,
You probably won’t sit up nights thinking about it, and the argument is abstract, and perhaps boring, but one of the current cosmologies (theories about the origin and evolution of the universe) suggests that there is good reason to believe that there is, indeed, “that special someone” for everyone!

Like my grandfather used to say "There's an ass out there for every toilet seat".
But I could see how it is possible to fall in love with more than one person. With billions of people in the world, the odds are in favor of that possibility.

Like WildIrish, said, there are billions of people out there. We move so much nowadays, we can reach out through reasonably priced phone plans, MSN . . . maybe there's someone out there who will suit you better than the person you're with right now.
