Our landlord hires a gardener do to the front and back yard. Tulips a-plenty to tiptoe through.
Still cleaning while I perv. I'm waiting for a phone call from a friend and he's either coming over and then we're going out or we're just going out to drink like good Newfoundlanders.

4AM ... been on Pixies about an hour. Going to drive down to Decatur, Illinois this morning (70 miles) to visit with my wife's mom. Then we'll stop and visit her dad's grave in Decatur and drive over to Springfield, Illinois to visit my parents gravesite. They're in a national cemetary called, "Camp Butler." Beaufiul place.
Then home again. Hope the day will be great for all of you!

Just got back from visiting my cousin at his hotel room. His three-month-old is a chubster and the 2.5-year-old is too smart for his own good!
All is good.

More yesterday than this morning (which has been pretty normal).
Went down to Decatur, Illinois yesterday to place flowers at the burial site of my wife's father; then to a nursing home to spend time with her mom who is 87. Visited with one of her brothers and sisters before leaving to go over to Springfield, Illinois where we placed flowers at the burial site of my mom and dad at Camp Butler National Cemetary. Camp Butler is one of the nations original 14 national cemetaries established by Abraham Lincoln on the site of a Civil War army post. More than 30,000 now buried there. After that we stopped at a church called St. Francis of Assisi. It's the home for Franciscan Nuns and is a beautiful church. I've attached a photo give you some idea how it looks.
Anyway, had a wonderful day, beautiful weather, and a nice drive with just the two of us.

Admired the pic of the beautiful church before logging off after a long day.
The zoo was a major event with long times in transit . . . I am now questioning my desire for children. You're filled with love when you have them but those terrible twos are exhausting!

Glad you enjoyed the picture, Steph. It is very beautiful.
Anyway, seemed like everytime I logged on yesterday, I had to get back off for one reason or another, so when i woke up early today, I thought I'd get to Pixies and play the games early. So, here I am at just before 5AM.

Finally got my credit card straightened out. Now I'm doing housework and getting ready for work on this cloudy day. May wasn't great weather wise and I fear June will be equally bad.

So far today I've basically laid around trying to shake a cold I've caught from somewhere. Then we had a power outage that dropped me off the computer for 2-3 hours. First one of those we've had in a long time and not sure why. Oh well, back on now as you can guess from my being here.
We've got an 8th grade gradulation to go to this evening for our grandson. Kind of chilly today so I may end up wearing a suit/sport coat.

I hope dicksbro gets time to post in the Pixies Journal about his 40th anniversary
We're hanging out with my sis today, taking her to Toronto Island for a picnic. Her ex-fiance recently started seeing someone and I think she thought they were getting back together . . . kinda sucks.
I'm far behind on the article I'm writing but it's supposed to be a beautiful, beautiful day so I'll push that article to the back of my mind for now.

Here I am Steph.
Our 40th anniversary was absolutely terrific. In the morning our oldest daughter and her family came over and went with us to church. We were ushers (my wife and I) and after the homily, we renewed our wedding vows. It was really neat because just by coincidence, the church was decorated with lots fo flowers so it really helped set the mood.
After church, we went to lunch with our daughter and her husband and had a thoroughly good time visiting. On the way home we drove through the areas damaged by the tornado some weeks ago (they'd never seen it). Big quarter to half-million dollar homes broken like so many toothpicks not to mention the apartments and everything else that got damaged.
After they dropped us off, we had to get ready to go into Peoria for another dinner that evening, this time with some thirty or forty other couples. Wasn't all for us, but we were toasted which was nice.
Tomorrow we head over to our daughter's in Indianapolis where we'll spend a couple of days with her, her husband, and our granddaughter; then on to Cincinnati to spend some more time with our third daughter and her husband.
Our daughter in Cincinnati has reserved for us a night at a local inn so we can have some private time. Should be wonderful. Then back to their house for another day.
Plan a stop in Springfield, Illinois as we head home this weekend. Turning this anniversary into something of a week long celebration.
Yippee. Now we start the second half of our married life.

Oz's Entry
12:40 am.
June 25, 2003
(im going to make an entry about yesterday since today has only been going on for 40 minutes)
I took a shower at 2:30am and enjoyed it until the hot water ran out . i went to bed around 3 and woke up at 9:30 when my friend dropped by to take me into town. we went to see one of his younger friends in highschool and talked with her for a while. then went to pick up one of our other friends and chilled at the one friend who woke me up at the ungodly hour of 9:30's girlfriend's house. (confusing, no?)
stayed there until 10:00pm and then came back and chilled in the my hottub with a friend and talked about stuff. then she went home and i got on pixies and have been posting like mad because i havent gotten to get on in while.

I'm so glad dicksbro is spending a week celebrating the first half of his married life It sounds wonderful!!!
I am sweating in my second-floor apartment in Toronto. Went to karaoke after work and decided to sing on the spur of the moment. Realized I was too nervous (and sober) to sing on key so changed "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" to "Every Little Thing SARS does is magic" so the crowd loved the class clown
And so goes my Monday (cuz Tuesday is my Monday).

Just got up a little bit ago. While playing games, also getting ready to leave for our daughter's. Most everything packed so we're probably doing better than normal.
Just wanted to get some last minute pixiating (is that a word?) in before we go.

Woke up this morning at 9:00 am. Haven't done that in a while. I must be stressed. Usually I sleep until about 11:00. Oh well. I start stretching as my little girl climbs in the bed with me. She is such a lovey dovey in the morning. We snuggled and giggled for about half an hour. As I got out of bed I hear the dreaded words out of my daughter's mouth as she is digging through her closet. "I have nothing to wear!!" Man I hate it when the day start off on that note. She can complain and bitch and moan and groan for HOURS on that subject and she is only 5. Ugh! Sometimes I wish that I dressed her in the middle of the night so she wouldn't think about getting dressed. Trying to get going this morning I figured I would check my email and then get off the computer for the rest of the day. If only! Brrrrrrring, damn instant messages. 'hey hi how are you this morning we aren't sure if the bank is going to accept our offer maybe you can drive down check out the building alone blah blah blah'. When will it ever end. So as my instant messenger keeps giving me more and more and more info I log into Pixies. Checking out new posts always seems to be a joy for me. And ....... what is this *Pixies Journal* hot damn! So I sit back and type away. TY TY TY! Well, I think my instant messages are over so I am off the computer for today. I must finish working on getting our house ready to sale.

Have I mentioned the heat a zillion times yet? It's supposed to get up to 111 F with the humidex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why must I work? I want to go to the beach!
