Diva - one thing I have to point out is that "When a Man Loves a Woman," at least the original, is by Percy Sledge - I suppose you may have found a version by Otis, it's been covered by many; An additional suggestion, by Otis Redding, would be "Try a Little Tenderness" (Otis at his best, IMO). Also "Ooh Baby Baby", the Smokey Robinson version, not the Linda Ronstadt version with all the jism drained out.

Yes Scotz I know "When a man loves a woman" is by Percy Sledge
But the one I found from Otis blows Percy's version away!
And FYI...I played the cd last night....and......I got lucky!!!!!

How about a little Latin spice?
Ok, I'm seeing blues, jazz, rock, and lots of other more mainstream stuff... But personally, the stuff that really sets me aflame is Latin jazz.
The best of the crop is Cesaria Evora, from Cape Verde --- she did 'Besame Mucho' on the Great Expectations soundtrack, you may have heard her there. Deep, smoky, incredibly rich voice, and such a fabulous sense of rhythm! Anything by her is a definite winner. You could also try Elza Soares (I think she's from Brazil), or Lhasa (Spanish-Canadian, I believe). For a male voice, try Zeca Pagodinho (Brazil again).
And then, of course, there's the whole Cuban son phenomenon, made so famous by the Buena Vista Social Club gang. Anyone from that ensemble is fantastic --- many of them have their own spin-off CD's that have been released since. The Afro-Cuban Allstars are great too, with some of the same musicians...
If you prefer things a little wilder, or a little younger, you can always go with the Ricky Martins and Elvis Crespos, but strange as it seems, I actually think the older musicians' stuff is much sexier!
BTW, this is definitely music for love-making, not mad race-you-to-the-finish sex --- it's slow and spicy, with great rhythms for dancing and teasing to!
--- sweetstuff
p.s. I think you're going to have to start selling copies of that CD/those CDs of yours on Pixies --- there are lots of us here that I'm sure would love to have in on that compilation!
