There may be oceans and continents that separate us, but hope you know that love and hugs and every positive thought I have are being sent your way. I don't think there's anyone who means what "mom" does to any of us, she's irreplaceable, so whatever comfort or aid I can offer, count me in! (((((((Sharni)))))))). Fzzy

Wish I had some words of wisdom or some comforting phrase that would ease your heart a little.....
All I can say is that you, your Mum and family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sharni- get her some weed. Until she can get a Dr to perscribe her something the weed will help her eat.

It's illegal here too but I know how hard it is to watch someone go through it.

The problem is Lil....Mum gets hungry, but its the vomiting, it just wont stop. She vomits wether she's eaten or not, though especially after. So the weed will just make her more hungry

From the 1st site....
Luckily, there are many drugs that your doctor can prescribe to prevent, lessen, or relieve the nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy. These medications are called anti-nausea drugs or anti-emetics. These are a group of medications that can be used to control nausea and vomiting and can be given in different ways. For example, if you are unable to keep anything down, don't worry because the drugs can be given through an I.V. catheter, a patch, rectally, under the tongue, or even in a shot if you cannot swallow. Also, there are several things that patients with these symptoms can do to help themselves feel better besides medications.

Still 1st site.....
your doctor may prescribe one or more of the following common anti-nausea medications:
aprepitant (Emend®)
dolasetron (Anzemet®)
granisetron (Kytril®)
ondansetron (Zofran®)
palonosetron (Aloxi®)
proclorperazine (Compazine®)
promethazine (Anergan®),(Phenergan®)
lorazepam (Ativan®)
metoclopramide (Reglan®)
dexamethasone (Decadron®)
famotidine (Pepcid®)
ranitidine (Zantac®)
These can be prescribed for you to take before, during, and/or after chemotherapy. As you can see there are many different medications that your doctor can prescribe to control these symptoms. It may take trying a couple different medications before finding the right match for you.
