The minimum price allowed by law for beer here right now works out to about 2,68$/litre.
The lowest price for gas in Montréal right now is 1,254$/litre.
I pay 1,28$/litre for skim milk.

Not at all...merely suggesting that the cost of X, when X = anything delivered by truck, is always going to stay a step ahead of the cost of fuel...it's a vicious circle thing...

In Nova Scotia...
The cheapest beer is about 4,64$/litre.
The cheapest gas is 1,353$/litre.
(I don't know about milk.)
