Just visiting...
Hi, all.
I'm not Canadian, but this seemed like a reasonable place to ask this question: I'll be visiting Montreal for the first time next month, and was wondering what I should do while I'm up there: places to visit, best-kept secrets, etc... Would y'all have any suggestions?
Thanks!!

I haven't been to Montreal for several years but St. Catharine & St. Denis (sp. -- it's been so long since I've been there that I forget the spellings) are two streets for the best of the best.
One of Canada's most celebrated foods -- the smoked meat sandwich -- @ Schwartz's Deli.
http://www.schwartzsdeli.com/index2.html
(LOL I love the opening page -- "Montreal Hebrew Deli -- we never call it that. We just eat their honking smoked meat sandwiches with pickles. None of the servers are under 75, I don't think. You HAVE to go there.
LOL I just clicked on the 'reviews' section of the site and found this quote: "When you're in Montreal, you must go to Schwartz's" - New York Times)
I'm in Toronto but have lived all over the country.
