Ah all is getting better finally..

All petitions like ours had been held up due to a new act called IMBRA. International Marrage Brokers Regulation Act. Basically its there to protect ppl but it means that everything got held up while they argue about what the form should look like.

Yesterday (June 29th) our lawyers recieved a request for evidence from USCIS. About 10,000 people are getting these to comply with the new law. Bacically Lizz has to tick a box saying we didnt meat through an online dating service and sign and return. Hopefully once they get it we will be processed very quickly.

Oh and btw SHES GONNA VISIT ME YAY

Basically they have been having a rash of "mail order brides" come into the US, get married and then file for divorce on the grounds of abuse and this law is to protect them. All marrage brokers have to be registered with the USCIS, if they aint....no visa

There is more to the message but its just the usual dont reply etc.....

Now things move quicker for us all and the ball is back into my court. Medical and Interview at London are next in line...

Well....

Yet another step has been taken. Our case has been recieved by the National Visa Centre. This is the final step before it hits UK soil. This is really good things are speeding up.

On a side note 4 years ago on 7th Sept 2002 i was married for the first time. I have always hated that date but now its a reason to celebrate

Not bad. Only THREE FRIGGEN YEARS for the "gears of progress" to suck you in, grind you up and plop you out the other end. Sorry the land of laws "of the people, by the people and for the people" has such slow moving people .... but it's still the best available and worth the wait.
