We cannot forget the old Pixies favourite from a certain Xmas party, Chateau la Face, '69.

I've got different favorites: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Johannisberg Riesling and White Zinfandel. A lot, of course, depends on the vintage. I think my favorite winery is the Mirassou Winery just south of San Jose, CA. Love their wines. They have a wonderfully refreshing Pastel that's truly delightful. Use to always bring several bottles back whenever I was out that way.

Never heard that statement before but if I am the "typical American" it can be said to be true by me.

*waits till the snicker's pass over calling myself "typical"*

Anyway...I am such a cheap date! I don't get all hoity toity over expensive wines. I can be happy drinking local table wines. We have a Pennsylvania table wine that I call "disgustingly sweet" and it's only $5-6 a bottle. It comes in red or white so I get to choose depending on my mood. I've noticed that the red will give me heartburn if I drink too much, too fast *sigh*

I do love a sweet champagne. Anyone ever hear of "Ripple"...and if so, have you ever made Champipple? *giggle*

Don't care for dry wines at all!
