Wine
Sitting here enjoying a delightful glass of homemade red, I am wondering...
How well do you know your wines? What do you like? Dislike? Do you have any suggestions of what I should try?
I really don't know much about wine - apart from the fact that I like it

Sprite,
I loooooooove my wines.
Soft reds and lush, sweet whites, interspersed with pink champagne.
If you're in a really sweet mood, there is an almost sickly dessert wine range called 'boyrytis".
I recently tried a "vine cut" where the grapes are clipped on the vine and left to partially dry before being picked and processed.
Next on my list to try is an ice wine, where the grapes are allowed to freeze in the first flush of winter, then picked and processed.
Wines can be fun.

OOOOOOOOo... LOL I love white wine! (especially when it comes in a blue bottle)
I just watched a cooking show on PBS where the chef froze different juices in ice cube trays and then once frozen put the cubes in a wine glass and poured white wine in some and champagne in others. Sounded really good to me, and looked soooooooo pretty!

sounds yum! I am the only wine drinker in the house due to a medical condition Mr. Lil has. I found a place today that sells tiny bottles of GOOD wines. I can't wait to splurge and try a few.
Chey I know we both dig the blue stuff, so I thought I'd suggest this type that I like http://www.barefootwine.com/califor...ornia_wine.html
That is the wine we guzzle at bunco

Cool! Sauvignon Blanc sounds awesome! So does the White Zinfandel (a refreshing wine with tropical aromas of fresh pineapple and sweet citrus. Flavors of ripe strawberries and pears intensify the smooth, crisp finish.)
I could almost bathe in it..
