Hubby wondered that himself if it was mulberry, but wasn't certain. He had one as a kid, but couldn't be sure.
As for clipping the damned annoying branches, we plan to this weekend. My daddy is coming up to put a fence in on Sunday, and clippers for that tree, and a maple tree that shadow's our drive way. THOSE branches are hanging down far enough to brush our car windshield as we drive in and out. Muay annoying.

I'm in agreement...looks mulberrish to me! The birds love em...and you'll see their love all over your vehicles, sidwalks, awnings, windows...etc! Eeeeeeek!

Hubby was saying that, too, Lixy. He suggested picking the trees as clean as can be as often as can be.
So, anyone want some berries?
