I've had some horrible military dentists though! Lol But now that my husband's out of the Army I'd kill for free dental.

Yeah, the tooth itself stopped hurting yesterday, and most of the pain is in the swollen area's, around my jaw and cheek. It's absolutly huge still. Ugh.

Gilly---There's a very good chance, that Kissy is right & most of the
pain is from the infection & related things.I know that when you're
in pain, time seems to creep but give the medicine time!(Easy for
me to say!) Irish

Back from the dentist- again! Not for me, though. My 8 year old had to get 2 avities filled, but they were rather tiny still. Unfortunatly, she has a tooth that was pretty decayed in the back, and they weren't planning to pull it because she said it never bothered her. The unfortate part is that in the past few weeks, it's really started to bug her, and she has to go in next Thursday and have it extracted. So, back to back appt's next week again, too.
I swear, all this dentist time must be bad for my health.... right?

Just got back from my appointment. She numbed me, started the root canal, and found that she couldn't get it done, because no matter how much novacain she was giving me, I could still feel it. So, she stopped doing that, referred me to a specialist, AND, didn't charge for any of the work she did to that tooth.
Then, since I was there already, she filled two cavities I hade on my two front teeth. Basically the inner ridge on both those teeth, there was a small cavity started that was back to back on both teeth. It had a slightly curved in section, as well as some translucent area's on my two front teeth.
They look perfectly normal now, YAY! Also, she smoothed out the bottom of each of them to be flat.

Hmmm... I don't mind going to the dentist at all. Sometimes it hurts a little, but I just close my eyes and zone out. I think I am one of my dentist's fave patients.

Back from the dentist, again. Today was Raegan's turn, to get a tooth pulled out.
Not a fun visit. I can safely say she'll be terrified of dentists now, like I used to be. I don't think it was hurting her, but she was very nervous before going in, and it kept increasing as they started, until she was screaming her head off, and fighting the dentist. The dentist tried for almost an hour to get at the tooth, and only got it partially extracted. She referred us to an oral surgeon, who will knock Rae out to do the procedure. She also recommended having them perscribe her something like vallum to take before hand, so she won't be as scared.
Oddly, that's sooooo much like I was when I was a kid. Right down to having to take vallum for a dentist visit.
