Considering the posted speed limits in Arkansas and Missouri are both 70 mph, 11 hours is about right for making that trip (which is not quite 700 miles). |

On the plus side, my parents got one of the minivans with a DVD player, and so we watched the Blue Man Group concert DVD (The Complex) for a bit, but I also attempted to listen to things I wanted to listen to on my CD player, but got drowned out by the Chieftains or my mother's Christmas CDs in the van's stereo, even with the fade dial set to front speakers only. Oh well - it's over. But I guess that counts as a compromise. |
