Married nearly 10 years. Masturbation has been the only continuing conflict my wife and I deal with.
I enjoy masturbating. I especially enjoy masturbating while looking at some sort of stimulation...be it photos, video, or erotic stories. This has been the case since I first discovered masturbatin.
My wife, conversely, does not enjoy masturbation, nor does she understand my enjoyment of it. Instead, she sees my desire to masturbate, and to enjoy porn, as a rejection of her as a sexual partner. I do not reject her sexiness at all...she is very sexy, and a great lover.
This situation continues to exist after more than 10 years of discussions. While we certainly do have sex together, I am hurt by the fact that she does not accept me and my sexuality....just as she is hurt by my desire to "do my own thing".
We have, over time, developed a "Don't ask, don't tell" policy with regard to masturbation.....so I masturbate whenever I have the privacy...
It is not an ideal situation...but after many, many soul-searching considerations, I have decided that the relationship is worth keeping...even if my sexuality is not completely understood.
