Bad news is an advisory for freezing rain beginning around 3pm today and continuing until 6am tomorrow. Accumulations are expected to be .1" to .2" which means streets and sidewalks could become quite slippery. Hope not, but who knows?

33F at 11:40pm (Tues) with cloudy skies. Between midnight and 1am (Wed) we're expected to get thunderstorms expected to start around 3am and taper off around 7am Wednesday with a high of 39F expected. Some reports that we could see some glazing with ice during the night although I hope those reports and wrong.

We did dodge the bullet yesterday. At least where I live we got virtually no ice although north of our town they did get some and had some problems. Grateful for our reprieve anyway although I don't wish difficulties on anyone.

Anyhow, for today … 4F at 1:05am Thursday under mostly cloudy skies. High is expected to reach 40F which sounds pretty good, but, there is about a 3-hour window beginning around noon when we might get some snow with rain preceeding it. Boy, am I anxious for spring to get here.

10F (feels like -5) right now (12:40am). Looks like the low of 4F will be hit around 6am and then gradually climb back up to a high today of about 15F by 3pm this afternoon. B-r-r-r-r. The winds seemed to have calmed down a bit but they were sure howling last night. Very, very cold. I'm ready for spring and warmer weather.
