I confess I slipped and fell on some rocks on the beach and twisted my ankle...which led to me getting drenched in the surf...and then I had to limp home

I confess that I really adore my new boss lady. I also confess that to a secret happiness at the way the other employees are getting on her bad side, which might work in my favor for advancement earlier than anticipated.  |

I confess I found out that most of the reason for not drinking alcohol with antibiotics is the fear of flushing them too quickly through the system to be effective (where the tablet is a slow release because of it's strength).

Yes, I wish I had had a multimeter. I finally got my cord checked yesterday and found out that the cord is right fine, it's actually the piece where you plug in the cord that's fucked.
The piece, by the way, is connected to the main board of my laptop.
Which Acer, by the way, very kindly informed me would cost me 499$ to replace through them.
Which would cost me at least 180$ just for the piece + labour to get it fixed locally.
Soooo I confess that I don't really think it's worth paying that much to fix a 2 year old laptop and I am now looking for a new one.
(A person can live on watery soup and bread crusts, right?) 
Oh yeah, and I further confess that I am on Pixies from my school library!  Shhh...
