Escape the "Date from Hell"

Feb. 14, 2005 — On this day of love, which is Valentine's day, there is anti-love news from the cellular phone provider, Virgin Mobile.
The company has found a way to rescue australian subscribers from a so-called "Date from Hell". All you have to do is discreetly dial three numbers and then hang up without saying a word.

The phone service will call back a minute later with a perfect excuse to get you out of there, and it will even walk you through what to say.

A survey showed women were twice as likely as men to use the tactic.
