Eliza........crock it!
Um.......almost anything you can make on the stove or in the oven...can be put in the crock pot on low to simmer all day!
Stuffed Peppers
Ham and Scalloped Potatoes
Chili
Beef Stroganoff
Pot Roast
Vegetable (or any kind) Soup
Chicken Barbecue (or any kind)
etc., etc.......
Example....
Chicken with Tropical Barbecue Sauce
1/4 c. molasses
2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. prepared mustard
1/8-1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
2 Tbsp. orange juice
3 whole chicken breasts, halved
1. Combine molasses, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, hot pepper sauce and orange juice. Brush over chicken.
2. Place chicken in slow cooker.
3. Cover. Cook on low 7-9 hours, or on high 3-4 hours.
Makes 6 servings
Got that from a "#1 Best Seller" book called "Fix-It and Forget It......Feasting With Your Slow Cooker" by Dawn J. Ranck and Phyllis Pellman Good......Good Books Publishing Co. of Intercourse, Pa.
That's right....I said Intercourse, Pa.! LOL!
