Another note from Lixy
Just got a brief note from Lixy. She sends her best to everyone.
Her hubby had been in the hospital back in February for some surgery and was given an overdose on morphine. They had to bring in a rapid response team to get things back under control. The head nurse on duty apparently was not able to recognize the problem and it was an aide and another floor nurse that had to call the RRT. Touch and go for a bit, but fortunately he's home and well on the mend.
Her sister is not doing well and seems to be slipping further and further away. Prognosis does not sound good.
Please keep both in your thoughts and prayers and hope that whatever is best for her sister and their family might happen. They've sure suffered a lot these past several months.

Oh how terrible  This is just one example of how the lives of Pixies can touch strangers. I've never swapped posts with Lixy, I don't think she's been on here a lot since I started posting here, but I have followed the updates about her sister and husband, and Lixy is often in my thoughts.
I wish for peace for her sister, and for her husband I wish a speedy recovery from this latest hospital visit.
For Lixy, I wish her strength to get through this.

The poor lassie hasn't had her troubles to seek lately, has she?
Glad she's able to keep in touch with you DB; please pass on my love and best wishes when you next contact her. She (and hubby) are in my thoughts always - as are very many others here.

Agreed. 
Like FWM, I've not encountered Lixy since I've joined but from reading her posts and those about her, I believe her to be one of the most compassionate women ever.
