I saw the headline earlier & immediately thought the mother was in the wrong (being an adoptee myself) but reading the full story changed my mind.

Will the un-adoption do more harm than good? Parental love can be a strong motivating force.

it’s surely not helping this kid to know that someone else wants to get rid of him. if she were truly committed, she’d have tried to find a way him help and keep the other children safe without un-adopting him. and if the state was truly committed, they’d have helped her.

that statement, about a 15 year old ferchristsake, makes me want to slap her, no matter how many awards she’s won for foster work. what a crappy thing to say.

Mixed feelings here... but one thing is for sure, I agree with wyndhy about how crappy it was to make that statement about throwing somebody away.

I'm sure that will do wonders toward helping this kids attitude. /sarcasm
