Our cat is officially a dumbass......
Abner is over a year old and in the last year has done some strange things. He had this thing about peeing on one of kiddo's bookbags and he would pee on my favorite slippers, so I started putting them up on a chair at night. Well this morning I found that he got up on the chair and pee'd on my slippers again. He also likes to pee in the beanbag chair so we have to keep that in the closet.
So anyone else have a strange cat? Anyone know why a cat does these things?

Once they pee somewhere you can not reclaim it. Throw out the slippers and get a new book bag.

soak what items you can in white vinegar. Urine is basic; Vinegar is acidic---the two will cancel each other out. If it is a white item that is getting urinated on you can also use pure lemon juice.
You can try to save these items if kiddo is attached to her bag, and you like your slippers, if Abner still pees, then like Lilith said throw them out.
Rug and carpet stains, again I reccommend a high concentration of hot water and white vinegar on a carpet cleaner.
The other thing to do is to change the boxes every day for a week or two.
Hope that helps

Tossed the bookbag awhile back but the slippers I just keep washing, could use a new pair anyway so will toss them too. Ya he's fixed Steph, yup 2 litter boxes the big baby.
Thanks.......we did use vinger on the carpet and then set stuff on top of those spots.

Luckily, my cat's always used the box. The only time he didn't was when he was very sick with a #2 issue and occassionally he'd miss the box within inches.
I found this... and it might be helpful for you. http://www.stickypaws.com/ie.cfm
My cat just likes to attack and bite. He's incredibly unsocial and naughty.
