It's hard to remember that far back...lol! But seriously heychris, are you asking because you are about to embark on the journey to "the other side"? If that is the case...use a contraceptive and use comdoms as well! Never just trust that a condom is enough (they have been known to break) and never, ever have sex without one because "you KNOW the S/O is safe", or "you don't want anything between you and your love". They are unwise practices that some people have come to regret, and you want your first experiences regret free...right?
That leads me to another piece of advice. Make sure in your heart and soul that this is the right time. Don't do it for any social status or because everyone else is or from pressure from the other partner. It's not a bad thing to be a virgin. It is bad however, to compromise your values for a slice of social status or to appease another. You only get one chance to give away your virginity. Consider it a treasure and guard it as such. If you choose to share it, let it be just that...your choice!
